ART RESIDENCY

This year our big thrust is to re-energise our ongoing art residency programme which we hope will not only activate the local art scene, but also provide the resident artist with a place for quiet contemplation, a break-away from his ordinary life, and will be one of active production and experimentation, where he will produce work, working in a unique and dynamic context. . . . more

EXHIBITIONS

While PUBLICA, our public art festival will be held biennially, during the year we will hold gallery exhibitions to educate art enthusiasts and collectors while supporting fresh young artists. Through these exhibitions we aim to promote cutting edge, museum-quality art, which will be made accessible to the general public. . . . more

MENTORING

MENTORING

Floodlight will empower talented artists and designers and help fine tune their artistic skills by exposing them to worldwide contemporary art trends and movements.
Floodlight will provide artists with studio spaces where they can develop their works. This will alleviate the need for them to secure their own financing for spaces. We will also help the artists develop their portfolio, and pair them up with art writers and critics to help them think deeper about their work . . . more

STUDENT AWARDS

STUDENT AWARDS

Through Student Awards, Floodlight aims to recognize talented new and unrepresented artists and encourage students to create and showcase their works. Floodlight intends to help them a little headway so that they remain artists and continue making art. . . . more

INTERNATIONAL LINKS

INTERNATIONAL LINKS

One of our big ambitions is to strengthen socio-cultural ties and influence cross-border artistic pollination between Indian and other cultural centres around the world. Toward this end, the foundation produced works by international artist Jeremy Hutchison and the British-born artist duo, the Lake Twins, as part of PUBLICA’s last edition. In the future we want to support more projects of this nature; set up an art residency and produce pop-up shows for our artists, abroad.
